The Collie

The collie originated from Scotland. It was initially a herding dog, and eventually became a family pet as well. The collie is very intelligent. It is a quick learner, and enjoys learning. The collie is very obedient and is excellent at problem solving. You do not need to teach your collie how to be lovable, as they naturally are. The collie shows intelligence and beauty in its face, and it is a visual definition of balance. In my opinion, the collie has the wonder of being irresistibly cute when a puppy, and beautiful when grown.

Colours
Sable & White
The Sable and White Collie is an orangey-brown colour. It can be very dark, or very light. It ahs the “collie markings on it”. Collie markings are white fur on the belly, tip of tail, around the neck, paws, and sometimes down the middle of the face in the form of a blaze.

Sable Merle
The Sable Merle collie is very similar to the Sable and White collie, it has merling on its fur, patches of black fur, but this soon becomes invisible because of the sable coloured fur which grows over it. They tend to be very light in colour, but they can still be very dark.

Tri-Colour
The Tri-Colour is black, with tan around the edges of its collie markings.

Blue Merle
The Blue merle is silver, with merling on its body.
